Details:
This website warmed us of a "minor geomagnetic unrest and auroras around the Arctic Circle" for today 10th January and it was accurate! Sadly the clouds didn't play nice with us though. The beginning of the evening looked so promising (1st picture at 9:41 PM local time) but soon after it became quite cloudy. There was nothing else to do than giving up then. Then just when going to bed and closing the blinds, I took a last desperate look at the southern sky facing my bedroom window and... Time to jump in my boots and parka and take a few pictures on the road! That's the remaining pictures around 1:30 AM. Including a corona! So, another succesful night in Utsjoki!
