In these images and gif Comet 397P/Lemmon was magnitude 18.3 and 150 million miles from Earth. It has a tail 0.025 degrees long to the WSW of the comet coma. The comet made its close approach to Earth over the Thanksgiving Holiday when it brightened to about magnitude 18. Comet 397P was at perihelion in its 7.49 year orbit last June.
