Details:
Following severe thunderstorms on Christmas Eve there have been minor outbreaks of electrical activity in isolated cumulonimbus formations as darkness approached two and three days later. The accompanying 30-second time exposures taken on the 26th and 27th enabled sporadic flashes of lightning to be captured in these clouds with Jupiter and Saturn in the same views while the shutter of the camera was open. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 in starry sky mode.
