Comet 22P/Kopff was discovered in 1906 by August Kopff. The comets nucleus is only 1.9 miles in diameter. Comet 22P will reach perihelion in its 6.39 year orbit in March 2022 when it may brighten to magnitude 11. In these images 22P was very faint at magnitude 19.5 and 324 million miles from Earth.
