Details:
Not since the year 1226 AD has anyone seen Jupiter and Saturn as close to one another. Taken 73 minutes after sunset in calm winds. Top insert taken with (Nikon Coolpix P950 @ 2000mm, f/6.5, 1/8s sec, iso 100). The atmospheric turbulence was stable enough to capture Saturn's rings. Both planets were clearly distinct naked eye although being very close to one another. Saturn's Titan (I believe at 8th magnitude) is at the ~3 o'clock position in lower insert: settings iso 6400, exp 0.25s, f/6.5, 2000mm (83x optical zoom).
