This morning was unusually cold for this time of the year at -23C. The sun looked quite stunning as it was rising across the Rainy River. The river was not frozen and the open warmer water was creating a lot of steam in the frigid air. If you look at the photo sideways you can see how the rising sun was noticeably flattened. Photos taken with a Canon 6D MKII, a Canon 100-400mm lens at various focal lengths and ISO 2000. https://watcheroftheskies.ca/
