Details:
On Saturday evening the Sun set exactly behind a growing cumulus formation in the centre of my view towards Hospital Hill. The result was the production of amazing cloud shadows where its light was blocked by cloud and giant crepuscular rays where setting sunlight was able to project upwards through gaps between them! Some patches of thin high striated cloud above the growing cumulus formations became brightly iridescent due to diffraction of setting sunlight. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
