Details:
This sprite event was a complete surprise because last night I was focusing on hunting for some early Geminid meteors. The Vaisala data indicated that the peak current for the bolt that created this sprite was -177 Kilo Amps, which is pretty high. The event lasted two frames and in that second frame the ends of the tendrils at the bottom of the sprite had bright tips that I call "Feet". These Feet haven't been documented yet but maybe one day we will find out what causes this to occur. The stormcell that created this sprite was southwest of my location in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
