The geomagnetic storm didn't materialized but the Sun put on a show. I looked up at the sun today and saw that a sundog had formed and I decided to grab my camera gear and get some photo's of it. I went to a spot where the view was better and lo and behold the view was much improved. A 22 degree halo had formed along with sun dogs and an upper tangent arc, I was pleasantly surprised as it was a first for me. As I was shooting I looked even higher for maybe a 46 degree halo but what had formed was as Les Crowley says "The most beautiful of the Suns halo's, the Circumzenithal Halo, there is no words to describe just how beautiful this sun phenomena is really mouth dropping. Then I spied to the left a Supralateral arc another moment of complete silence as the beauty overwhelmed me. And then the Upper Tangent Arc formed what a day!
