Details:
Mars near infrared image taken in very poor seeing (type very turbulent air with sharp details visible through it) at 685nm. Taken with 10 inch F4,8 Newtonian secondary focus with QHY5 5L-11 camera. Syrtis Major is prominent. Also prominent is a darkening of the limb at the opposite side of the planet phase effect, visible well in a high contrast processing.
