Details:
On Sunday 1st November, a convex arc of cloud above the horizon to the WSW of Chikanga Township in Mutare produced an illusion that the bright setting Sun was descending through a hole in it. In the accompanying four image mosaic, the setting Sun emerges through what looks like a circular aperture in the middle of the cloud base and then appears to fall through it. In reality the distant Sun was behind the cloud all the time. A passing swallow (blurred by fast motion) adds interest to the final photograph. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode.
