Details:
Despite being at a sunspot minimum at the start of the new Solar Cycle 25 there have been three notable ones AR 2772, AR 2776 and AR 2778 since August. The recent AR2776 is the largest of Solar Cycle 25 so far. The accompanying mosaics prepared for two days from 27-28th October, three days from 27-29th and four days from 27-30th, show them migrating towards the edge of the lower left quadrant of the solar disk. The smoke-haze which lingers close to the horizon at this time of year acts as a natural solar filter attenuating the light from the setting Sun sufficiently to make sunspots transiently visible in the camera viewfinder. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode.
