Details:
It's storm season here in northern New South Wales. I observed these mammatus clouds ahead of a storm cell approaching from the west. I have read that mammatus clouds are predominantly seen trailing storms as they are breaking up, but I have always observed them before a storm. Taken with my iPhone.
