Details:
Grey skies with rain cleared on Tuesday afternoon to reveal an unusual sunset behind Chikanga West Township in which the Sun emerged from cloud and appeared to grow a tadpole tail before disappearing below the horizon. This effect was caused by atmospheric refraction and reflection of sunlight from underlying cloud. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode with up to x30 zoom magnification.
