Details:
The storm forecast for tonight may have been downgraded, but we saw extremely beautiful northern lights anyway here in Utsjoki, in the far north of Finland.
Again tonight, the aurora made its first appearance during the blue hour, so just when the sky became dark enough.
After that, several outbursts took place. These were not as strong as the past 4 consecutive nights, but we did see a purple fringe a few times, and the sky was often filled with green.
I was standing on the Finnish shore of the Teno River, one of the best salmon rivers in Europe. The river marks the border with Norway, so the hills/mountains that you can see on the pictures on the other side of the river are from our friendly neighbours Norway.
That's 5 out of 5 for me so far since the "storm" started last Friday. What a beautiful time to be in the Arctic!
