This was an unexpected treat. I had arrived at an ancient site in Co. Tyrone in N. Ireland to meet friends for a night of astrophotography. I was early so I ventured into the famous Beaghmore Stone Circles to take a few test exposures on such a beautiful clear moonlit night. Suddenly a small shower appeared over the Sperrins then a wonderful complete ghostly moonbow formed. The sight was amazing, I have observed many moonbows periodically over the years however seeing a moonbow with colour arcing over the stones of an famous megalithic site like this one was a very special moment indeed! These are 18-20 sec exposures using a 10mm F/2.8 lens on my Canon 600D.
