Details:
Finally a clear night between the autumn storms here in the far north of Finnish Lapland! And to make things even better, a strong display of northern lights happened, just like most of us anticipated while reading this site. At some point at my latitude (nearly 70°N), the oval moved so far south that I could only see the southern horizon glow, with not much to see anywhere else in the sky. The purple nitrogen fringe also made a remarkable return, so it made my night perfect. What an epic night in the Arctic!
