Details:
About three minutes before sunset, the smoke particles from the wildfires out west became visible as a wavy white pattern very high above the clouds. Then about fifteen minutes after sunset, those smoke particles and chemicals helped put on a vivid display of purple colors. It reminded me of the volcanic sunsets just a year ago. Details: Nikon D500, ISO 200, f/14 at 1/4s to 1/6s exposures.
