Details:
Today I managed to observe Mercury visually and photographically shortly after Superior Conjunction. The distance to the solar limb was only 1.8 degrees, the brightness of Mercury was -1.8mag. A Baader Travel Companion 95/580 was used together with a Herschel Wedge. In the image with the Wedge-Screen you can see the Sun in the upper left corner and Mercury invisible in the middle . But Mercury was indeed visible in the eyepiece.
