Details:
Mars is quickly approaching earth on its way to an October 13, 2020 Opposition. I was imaging Mars and after some basic processing on one of the images I was amazed at what I was seeing. It was pretty neat to clearly see so many Martian volcanoes at one time on an image. I decided to use it to make a basic map so that people who are not familiar with the Martian surface will know what they are looking at.
The image was taken at 08:09 UT on 8.14.20 with a Celestron 14” Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope and a ZWO ASI camera.
Mars was 16.3” in size at the time of this image. I hope you all enjoy!
