Details:
Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) is past its prime but still is an enticing object particularly when passing familiar deep-sky objects. On the night of Aug. 5th, it was in the same field as M53 and NGC 5053 in Coma Berenices. LRGB (3 min per filter) using 100mm f/3.8 Vixen refractor and SBIG 11K CCD camera tracked on stars. Notice subtle condensation knot in blue ion tail above M53. Impressive that the ion tail is still so long despite the comet being quite far from the Sun now.
