Details:
I was filming a storm from my apartment in east Harlem NYC. The storm was running east along Long Island Sound. The view was exceptional, with clear air between myself and the storm. The cloud tops were still partially illuminated from the Sun which had already set. The towers had Pileus caps on their tops indicative of strong updrafts and intra cloud lightning was in progress. I caught one unusual short discharge which jumped from high up in the cloud and appeared to terminate in clear air.
