These NLC,s were a surprise, I wakened at 4am BST for a drink and looked out and saw the sky clearing, I noticed what appeared to be NLC's on the horizon and looked with my binos. Sure enough they were there. When the sky cleared these ripples appeared and I could actually see them move in real time. They stayed until dawn, the last time I saw ripples move lik that was several years ago. Canon 400D 18-55mm lens at 55mm an 1/6 second ISO1600.
