Details:
Spiral structure in the coma is another detail were comet Neowise is looking very similar to Hale-Bopp.(google on comet Hale-Bopp coma spiral). Also see my image https://spaceweathergallery.com/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=166660
Spiral structure in the comae of comets is a phenomenon that can be observed sometimes. What we see is dust and/or gas flowing out of the rotating comet nucleus. This gif shows rotation of the structures in the inner coma with 1 day interval observation. Note: No rotational gradient filters are used, just the standard lucky imaging planetary processing method.
