Being so many years without a decent comet, now Comet NEOWISE seems to be addictive. I went up to my apartment roof anticipating a great viewing session, since all the weather forecasts were predicting clear skies. When I got there, along with my son, David, I was disappointed. There was solid cloud cover right where the comet was to be located, in Ursa Major. I didn't give up, but continued to search until the comet appeared just above the cloud bank at 9:45PM. It appeared to skirt the cloud boundary for at least 20 minutes. The submitted photo was taken at 9:53PM. It's a thrill every time I am able to find and enjoy the comet! Details: Canon EOS REBEL T5i camera, 5s exposure, f/5.0, ISO 800, Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 lense set at 200mm, manual focusing, remote shutter release, GITZO tripod.
