Details:
Comet NEOWISE, taken last night from the Ashokan Reservoir. Fujifilm X-T3 with a 100-400mm lens on a sky tracker. I took 18 light frames and two dark frames at 190mm, f/5 and ISO 3200. 30 second exposures. I batch preprocessed them in Lightroom, send them to Starry Sky Stacker, which imported them, using the dark frame data to subtract noise, aligned them and sorted them on quality. I selected the best 14 images and stacked them and then did final edits in Lightroom and Color Efex. My very first attempt at astrophotography! Note the blue ragged ion tail above the main tail of the comet and the feathering of the end of the main tail. Both were features I set out to capture specifically.
