Details:
I was planning to go west and north of Topeka for much darker sky, but cirrus clouds blasting eastward in the jetstream had me backtracking closer to home. Many families were out at Kill Creek Park enjoying the comet with binoculars as I set up just before the clouds arrived. I call the first one Just A Bit Left Of Reality, and it is a 348 second guided exposure with an 85 mm lens on the Canon Rebel XTi @ f/3.4 and ISO 200. The second image is a 120 second exposure at the same settings, and the last one my wife dubbed Blue Lights Matter. It is a 73 second exposure, during which time a friendly park policeman turned on his blue flashers!
