Details:
Cool to see this thing laying on its side now in the evening. This view is from last night east of Flagstaff, AZ. The comet was visible naked eye, but fainter than last week in the pre-dawn sky. Through binoculars, the dust tail extended about 6 degrees while the ion tail was marginally detected. Photographically, the dust tail extends about 9° and ion tail at least 15°. Without the moon, it's silhouette mode for landscapes now. || Canon EOS 6D Mark II, Canon EF 70-300 mm lens || 15 exposures stacked in Starry Landscape Stacker to reduce noise. || 90 mm (image is cropped in from original framing) || 6.0 sec. x 15 at f/4.5, ISO 12,800 || 13 July 2020, 9:07 PM MST/ 0407 GMT
