Details:
An early morning July 12 photo from the same location as earlier in the week. The comet was much easier to see with the unaided eye, with a longer visible tail (due in part to the comet being 15% closer or 13 million miles since the 7th). This image taken with a Canon 6D MkII and a very fine 85mm F/1.2 Rokinon SP lens set to F/4. 15 sec exposure at ISO 1600. I followed the comet much longer into twilight compared with July 7. Sky transparency was better. Magnitude estimate +1.5 by comparing with Aldebaran and attempting to account for the comet set against brighter twilight. This comet is really performing, and likely will improve as it climbs into the evening sky and its distance from Earth reduces over the next week or so.
