The comet while rising over the Alps at the border between Italy and Slovenia (Mt. Canin/Bovec).
10"x25 shots with a Nikon D600 DSLR and a Nikkor 70/200mm zoom lens @200mm FL / F2.8 /ISO1000 taken at 02:58 local time.
Homebrew image processing made with Matlab and some original code to perform the basic steps.
