On Friday 10th July, Venus displayed its greatest illuminated extent and shone brilliantly close to the red star Aldebaran as shown in the accompanying pictures taken between 5 and 6 am. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in night scenery mode
