Details:
July 08 - Got up at 3 am to image Comet NEOWISE for the 5th day. Once again there was some low-lying haze along the eastern horizon making it impossible to watch the comet rise above the Peloncillo Mountains. I couldn't really get a good look at NEOWISE until it was about 6 degrees above the horizon. Pat was curious enough about my night-time activities that she also got up to get her first view of the comet. While I could easily see the comet and tail with the naked eye, she had difficulty. But she enjoyed the view through 7x40 binoculars. This morning, I found a pleasing composition with a yucca in the foreground with the comet to the right. Portal, AZ Nikon D7200, 70-300 zoom at 86mm, 1 second, f/8, ISO 3200 (stack of 11 exposures) Images stacked in Starry Landscape Stacker, additional processing in Photoshop CC
