Details:
The moon has been doing wonders for deep twilight landscapes, right after the comet is just 2-3 degrees off the horizon while the twilight is still dark enough for good balance between foreground and sky. This morning's view is from the Schultz Fire burn scar on the east flank of the San Francisco Peaks with the comet rising over the volcanic field. Sunset Crater is the cinder cone on the right side. The wind was blowing fiercely and a lot of the zoomed shots are too shook up to use. I was able to observe the tail naked eye to about 3 degrees and about 5 degrees through 15x70 binoculars. Either earlier rise time and northward movement is helping, or I was paying closer attention to observing this time around. Image info: 5 images stacked/aligned to reduce noise.
