Details:
One of the most intense meteor echoes ever captured from my receiving station in the North of Scotland! In this case, the particular "L-shape" allows us to determine that the velocity of the meteor relative to my receiving station (line of sight) was of ~980kph (~610mph) for the first part of the detection, decelerating to zero very quickly! I was also able to create this video with the sound of the meteor echo as it was received by my equipment! It is at this link: http://youtu.be/k7ETm9RYuaQ The equipment is tuned to the French GRAVES Radar frequency, and it is able to capture meteor echoes when they disintegrate in our atmosphere!
