The photos, taken with a Nikon CoolPix P900 camera at 17:45 (UTC-3h), show the young Moon setting over a hill 4 km away, when it was 2.9% illuminated. Just 1.6 days earlier, it had passed in front of the Sun, casting its narrow antiumbra across Africa and Asia.
