Details:
Good Morning Everybody! Before dawn this morning the planet Venus had the Moon pass in front of it for a small part of Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada. In the rest of the United States the very thin crescent Moon had already passed over Venus and they were still very close together in the sky. At 5:32 AM I took this photo of a small hole in the clouds where the Moon is below and Venus is above an intruding cloud. The clouds closer to the ground and above Venus were thick and dark and I was very lucky to have gotten my photos from this morning. I had to drive 25 miles away to get to a spot that had a good view of the rare conjunction.
