Details:
I woke at 2:00am to see these bright clouds very low down slightly east of due north. I took the photo from the bedroom window and calculate that they were 600km away, roughly over Aberdeen. I used a Nikon P510 bridge camera at ISO 200, f/4.3, 4 sec, 135mm equivalent focal length.
