Details:
My wife and I were coming home after an evening drive. The sky was clear and we were watching for noctilucent clouds -- but not sure what to expect. Very faint dust-like clouds slowly took shape in the northern sky. We decided to watch for them to change and they did, over about 10 minutes. That convinced us we might be seeing the NLCs, so I took out my camera and let the sensor capture details that I wasn't seeing. From 10 to 10:15 pm CST, I did a few photos with my Sony stabilized on our car and did a little tuneup later at home. I'm delighted with our first NLC images! Thanks Spaceweather!
