The fire and the fireball ! Bright Earth-grazing fireball in Tucson AZ during Bighorn forest fire. A lightning strike on June 5th caused a fire in the National Forest that still is threatening homes with thousands of acres burned. The sky has been filled with smoke the displays of fire in the mountains has been scary. A bright earth-grazing fireball was caught in the sky at 2:11 am crossing almost the entire sky before ending its burn in the smoke from the burning fire. This image was captured with a 8 mm fisheye and a Nikon D810. The transit of the fireball was a few seconds long enough to be caught on two images fused here.
