Interesting prominence this morning.
An advantage of early morning observing from the window-sill is that the atmosphere can be very steady. By the time I took the second image 2 hours later, the image was bouncing around all over the place.
Sky observers often associate shapes they see in the sky with things they are familiar with, often classical or mythical beasts - consider the constellations!
In this spirit, but not, perhaps, with the classical associations, this prominence does remind me of Bart Simpson's hair-do!
