Details:
The comet was very challenging to observe at all using 15x70 binoculars, especially with its low elevation at the beginning of dawn. Thin clouds were also present just below the comet. The first image is a crop from a stack of sixteen 60-second subframes at ISO3200. It was taken with a Canon 60Da and 420mm F5.6 lens on an auto-guided Star Adventurer mount. Stars and the comet were processed separately and then merged. Only a small length of the comet's gas tail is seen trailing the coma, but the fan-shaped dust is more prominent. The second image shows a wider view, with Algol at the right side.
