Details:
I had first noticed a faint solar halo, but after 20 minutes I was surprised to see a piece of what proved to be the parhelic circle. This too was visible for 20 minutes and the solar halo was then much brighter and colored. The sight of both the sun halo and the full parhelic circle was awesome and somehow out of this world. This was the first time I’ve seen the parhelic circle in 25 years of observing the skies. I used a Canon 800D and Samyang 8 mm lens.
