Details:
Comet SWAN was only at about 3.5 degrees elevation and at 44 minutes after the start of astronomical dawn when this was taken. There was also a 61% Moon up. A slight elongation to the right side of the coma is evident, possibly a hint of the comet's tail. The image is a stack of eight 5-second exposures at ISO3200, using a 200mm F4 lens on a Canon 60Da. The coma was briefly just barely visible in 11x70 binoculars before dawn's light became too bright.
