Step outside tonight after sunset and look up. You'll see a beautiful triangle formed by breathtakingly bright Venus, the open cluster stars Pleiades and the first-magnitude star Aldebaran. If you have a telescope, point it at Venus; even a small 'scope will reveal the its that the planet is not a disk.
