Details:
Quite a lot going on today. My first image shows AR2759 had a sudden brightening. A check with GONG showed this to be very short lived. I started about 09:00 UT, got to maximum brightness at about 09:15 UT and had largely subsided by 09:28 UT. There is then a gap in the GONG images until Cerro Tololo came on-line at 11:51 UT when the brightening had vanished. My images are at around 09:21 UT and 10:56 UT. There was also a large, if faint, active prominence (watch the animation!) on the receding limb, and a new plage on the advancing limb.
