Details:
I had to race to beat the cloud bank coming up from the SW, and the camera's viewfinder revealed an elliptical aureole around Venus in some of the shots. Venus reminded me of an overly-bright Polaris, creating a new Little Dipper! Images were shot at 8:33 and 8:35 pm, CDT, with a 135 mm NIKKOR lens on a Canon Rebel XTi. Both are 2 second exposures @ f/4 and f/2.8 at ISO's 200 and 400 respectively.
