Details:
For the record, the Sony DSC-HX60 is a point and shoot compact camera with a 30X zoom lens and full manual facilities. Nothing fancy! Both shots are single frames with the camera tripod mounted and un-driven. Both are at 1600 ASA with the Pleiades one at 2.5 sec exposure, and the one including the Hyades was a 5 sec exposure. Both processed in GIMP.
