Details:
The evening started with snow, almost a blizzard even. The weather forecast was not very promising but some clear moments were announced so I kept a watch on the sky. I really wanted a decent picture of the Venus and Moon conjunction together with some nice auroras, and I can say that my wish came true! The Pleiades also look so nice in there! While I am waiting for the announced stronger stream of solar wind flowing from the open coronal hole, once again tonight is a sign that the slightest variation in solar wind can spark incredible auroras up here in Utsjoki. Auroras were bright and fast, with several coronas appearing in the sky, and a lot of purple. We still have less than 2 weeks to go in this Aurora season, let's make the best of it!
