Details:
Last night, March 24 was maximum elongation for Venus in 2020 : 46.1 degrees east of the sun. For northerners, this mean Venus is still shining brightly in the west long after sunset. This shot was taken at approximately 8:45pm EST near Bloomfield ON Canada. Hence the slight glow in the lower right corner as evening twilight was not quite over. I noticed the close proximity of the Pleiades, and decided to capture a widefield shot including: The California Nebula, Aldebaran, The Hyades, and the Pleiades. Also in the field of view on the left side are a couple of small open clusters in Taurus, NGC 1647 and NGC 1746. The field of view is approximately 35.6 degrees X 27 degrees.
