Details:
This was an absolute minimum level Kp0 aurora from Churchill, Manitoba on March 13, 2020 just before local midnight, CDT. To the eye almost nothing was visible but a 30-second exposure with the camera picked up a weak band of green and red across the north, placing this arc far to the north of Churchill’s location of 58° North and typically under the auroral oval. But this night what auroral oval there was, was well to the north over far northern Canada. Deneb and Vega are along the horizon, circumpolar at this latitude. The Milky Way is at left setting into the northwest. This is a single 30-second exposure at f/2 with the Sony a7III and Venus Optics 15mm lens.
